China’s Greenland Group, which has at least 12 tall buildings over 100 meters under construction in its home country, is making a splashy foray into Australia with an offer to team up with Canada’s Brookfield Asset Management to finish its 70-story, 240-meter residential project at 115 Bathurst Street, Sydney. The project, now to be called Sydney Greenland Center, is estimated to be worth A$480 million - $497 million, reports Australia’s Property Observer

Brookfield had struggled financially with its investment, and will receive an approximately A$100 million infusion as part of the deal, the Property Observer reported.

The most recent design of the tower by Kann Finch, which would grant nearly all of the 420 apartments direct access to northern sun and views, was granted Stage 1 development approval by the local authorities in July 2012, Architecture & Design reported.
