SL Green Realty has released sketches of its latest office tower, 1 Vanderbilt, which was announced last week. International firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates is designing the 1.55 million-square-foot (144,000-square-meter) building, located on Midtown’s East Side.
The project is planned for a small block located just east of Grand Central Terminal. The block is the center of a rezoning debate, which might ultimately affect the future of the tower.
The building will not be economically feasible unless the Midtown East rezoning is approved, according to the Real Deal.
