New video illustrates the experience at EdgeWalk, the attraction at the 1,815-foot (553-meter) CN Tower that allows tourists to feel like they're about to fall off a skyscraper. For $175, people strap into a harness on a catwalk located just above the observation deck and lean out 116 stories above the earth.
Once out on the catwalk, participants put on a "Walk Suit" and harness. Then the guide gently pushes the person out past the safety of the ledge. Ultimately, his or her feet are still on the platform while the rest hangs about 1,467 feet (447 meters) above Toronto.
Participants are screened for intoxication before they are allowed to attempt EdgeWalking. Staff also searches participants for items like loose change and cell phones, which could cause significant damage if dropped.
The EdgeWalk runs until October. The CN Tower representatives promise that each EdgeWalk will be "unique."
