Amsterdam-based firm UNStudio has unveiled V on Shenton (read: Five on Shenton) a pair of towers, 23 and 53 stories tall, which will be built near the CBD of Singapore. The towers are part of the city's Waterfront City initiative, called Tanjong Pagar.

The shorter tower will hold offices while the taller will hold residences. The pair will also feature a series of private sky gardens which will provide residents views of the city and filter the building's air supply.

A hexagonal module forms the façade, creating a bee hive pattern. "The highly specialized design is integral to the performance of the building and relies on angles of the glass and shading devices," inhabitat reported.

The project is scheduled to be completed in 2016.
