Dezeen has produced a guided video tour of the Royal College of Art 2012 graduate architecture show, featuring student designs exploring the nature of high-rise construction and urban habitat in London's future. The show also features work from other departments in the College.

The designs in the video include a skyscraper that breeds insects as food. Other installations focus on the effects of corporations on the built environment, cultivation of tropical fruits in high-rises and the re-appropriation of space in London streets.

CTBUH recently opened its first external student exhibition, "High-Rise, Lo-Carb," at the Chicago Architecture Foundation, featuring CTBUH academic work with Illinois Institute of Technology students. The design project spotlights the work of students in the advanced architectural design studio for IIT students led by the CTBUH and AS+GG Architecture.
