Boston is in the midst of a flurry of tall building development.
Earlier this month reports surfaced that the Saunders Hotel Group is considering plans to build a 35-story hotel on the site of the John Hancock and Conference Center, one of several tower projects in development in the Back Bay neighborhood. Three other towers are already under construction in Back Bay.
Now the developers of a 26-story tower near Chinatown say they are ready to move forward, according to the Boston Globe.
The project, developed by Hudson Group North America and Forest City Enterprises Inc., will include 240 apartments and a new restaurant on the site of the vacant Dainty Dot building.
