Dutch architect MVRDV has won a design competition for a new town near Seoul in South Korea. Located 35km south of the capital, this series of overgrown hill-shaped buildings would make up one of two centres for the new settlement, Gwanggyo. MVRDV, which produced the design with British engineer Arup, said each floor of the buildings would have a terrace planted with box hedges, creating a recognisable park feature....more
