Airport and docks group Peel Holdings has welcomed a decision by Liverpool planners to allow skyscrapers in the World Heritage site buffer zone. It paves the way for the city’s biggest-ever regeneration project, a £5.5 billion proposal to build high-rise buildings in the city’s northern Central Docks area.
