The two most significant challenges facing the world today are those presented by the economic crisis and the effects of climate change. After a 15-year construction boom across virtually the entire globe that has seen tall buildings built in unprecedented numbers, height and configurations, skyscraper proposals are now hitting the skids in every major city around the world. Is the typology going to bounce back from this, and if so, how, and what does the future skyscraper need to become? |
