SHANGHAI – The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) has teamed up with Shanghai Tower to provide a permanent exhibition on the history of skyscrapers around the world as part of the tower’s observation deck experience. The exhibition is intended to educate visitors to Shanghai Tower on the global impact of skyscrapers and the history of the form. Open to the public, it features a number of educational materials focusing on details related to skyscraper history as well as a timeline of the tallest buildings worldwide.

Located in the tower podium, the exhibition will provide context to tourists as they make their way to Shanghai Tower’s observation deck. Visitors will walk through the exhibition area before entering the elevator to the top floors of the tower. Along with detailing CTBUH’s height criteria, the exhibit provides up-to-date posters of the tallest buildings regionally and worldwide as well as extensive tower models and the aforementioned timeline.
