China, September 2012
Delegates to the CTBUH 9th World Congress in Shanghai were offered the unique opportunity to participate in free city regional tours around China after the Congress had ended. Led by many of the builders and designers of China’s most dramatic projects, each tour was focused on tall building developments and provided participants with an insider’s perspective on China’s fast-growing cities.

Congress delegates who traveled to Beijing were treated to a snapshot of how tall buildings are transforming China’s capital. Delegates toured the China World Tower, Parkview Green Fangcaodi, Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, Beijing Yintai Centre and Olympic Park, among others.

Changsha / China Broad Group

Attendees enjoyed an exclusive tour of the China Broad Group Facilities and spent the night in the record-breaking T30 Hotel. The tour covered the company's manufacturing and research facilities. Executives were on hand to answer questions and provide insights into the company's techniques.

Hong Kong & Shenzhen

Delegates from the Congress flew to Hong Kong to visit one of the tallest cities in the world. Buildings on the tour include the International Commerce Centre, the International Finance Center, and One Island East. The second day included a side trip to Shenzhen, including a private tour of KK100.
