A number of visits and tours are conducted by the CTBUH each year. These range from building tours organized by the Council on behalf of CTBUH members to international city visits conducted by CTBUH leaders.

Many Chicagoans know the story about notorious mobster boss Al Capone running a 'speakeasy' in the domed space atop the Jewelers Building during the Prohibition in the 1920's and early 30's.

300 North LaSalle Tower, Chicago
November 3, 2010

On Wednesday, November 3,  CTBUH staffers participated in a tour of the 300 North LaSalle Building in downtown Chicago. Developed by Hines, the 60-storey, the building traded in for $503 per square foot, shattering Chicago’s pricing record.

Shanghai Expo & Meetings

CTBUH Executive Director Antony Wood visited China to attend and speak at the Shanghai Expo. While in China, the foundation was set for the
CTBUH 9th World Congress, anticipated to take place in Shanghai in October 2012.

C-Ward, Mumbai

The C Ward of the City of Mumbai consists of some of the oldest localities of the city. The areas have been urbanized since the past 100 years and accommodate a large population. The area consists of mixed land use with commercial, residential and manufacturing activities operating within close proximity.


Palais Royale, Mumbai

Located in Worli, Mumbai, Palais Royale is a first-of-its-kind residential project by Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure Ltd: it is India’s first and largest green residential building. With state-of-the-art facilities on par with international standards, the luxury building is expected to be India’s tallest, at a height of 300 meters.
