As the arbiter of tall building height, the CTBUH recognizes the global and/or local height achievements of buildings by inaugurating signboards/plaques in conjunction with building owners. October 21, 2009: CTBUH Height Plaque presented
CTBUH presented a plaque to Eric Trump of the Trump Organization recognizing the Trump Tower as the tallest all-concrete building in the world, the 7th tallest building in the world, and the tallest building built in the US in the last 35 years.

CTBUH believes public skyscraper signs are a powerful and lasting way to inform the world about the official recognition of the achievements and merits of new and existing tall buildings.
