This pre-Congress workshop, an initiative of the Research, Academic and Postgraduate Working Group, is open for attendance for all registered Congress delegates. Prior registration for the workshop is, however, required.

The CTBUH Research Academic and Postgraduate Working Group was formed in 2010 with the scope to promote common research activities and to foster the research results of the many researchers (both from the academic and professional realm) working on tall buildings around the world.

This workshop will be focused primarily on the development of the “Roadmap on the Future Research Needs of Tall Buildings” – an ambitious project developed by the CTBUH, CIB and UNESCO which aims to guide tall building research activities, and indentify topics of priority research to move the typology forward over the next 5 – 10 years. The workshop will also examine other ongoing projects of the working group – a database of researchers, seedfunding, internships and scholarships, recognizing research excellence – as well as opportunities for new initiatives in the future.
