Date: Thursday, 12 July 2018
Time: 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

818 Stewart St, Suite 1210

Organizers: CTBUH Seattle "Future Leaders" Committee

Join CTBUH Seattle for a site tour of the 8th & Howell Convention Center Hotel. Positioned at the intersection of Seattle’s primary downtown commercial, convention, and high-rise residential neighborhoods, the building synthesizes diverse urban influences into a skyline-scaled, mixed-use architectural collage. A composition of monolithic solids suspended among voids created by the public spaces supports an efficient, engaging interplay between the community and a vast influx of international visitors, while anchoring the rapid northward expansion of downtown’s urban fabric.

The tour will feature a blend of completed and in-progress spaces throughout the tower. Attendees will meet at the Sellen site office at 4:30 p.m. for a brief overview of the project before beginning exploration of the tower. Please bring your own PPE, including a hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility vest, gloves, long pants, and sturdy boots. The event will be followed by a happy hour at Mr. West with the first round generously provided by MKA.
