Technologies have bridged the geographic gap, but country-dependent server restrictions, cross-program data exchanges and communication liabilities have yet to be examined. This panel discussion focuses on how technology and other collaboration techniques are used to coordinate and communicate between international branch offices, clients, and consultants alike. This group of leading industry professionals will discuss their digital practices developed for customized solutions to match the clients’ needs across oceans and how to complete the project from afar.

Referencing their professional experience in developing international projects, panelists will discuss their business practices and the logistical challenges of coordinating and executing projects between regions. They will assess the advantages and disadvantages of being an “American” designer across various international business cultures, and discuss the differences in the overall design approval process in international jurisdictions.

Attendees will also learn about the factors that determined each project’s successes or obstacles, including contract management in various international locales, legal hurdles to accomplishing projects and obstructions to project completion.
