The House by Handel Architects is one of the first high-rises in the world to implement high-rise technology. With the level of insulation, glazing, and air pressure testing involved with Passive House, this new high-rise on Roosevelt Island is pioneering a way to enhance building performance that is ahead of its time with NYC's upcoming energy code updates.

Please join CTBUH at the offices of Handel Architects to learn more about the implementation of Passive House in a high-rise building along with the facets, challenges, and solutions encountered throughout the design phases. Speakers Blake Middleton, FAIA, Partner at Handel Architects, and Deborah Moelis, AIA CPHD, Senior Associate at Handel Architects, will talk about the Cornell Tech Residences building that is due to open early Autumn 2017.
