The Construction History Society of America will be hosting the 5th International Congress on Construction History at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel in Chicago. This will be the first time the Congress will be held outside Europe, following the four previous events hosted by Madrid (2003), Cambridge (2006), Cottbus (2009) and Paris (2012).

Keynote speakers include:
William F. Baker, Structural and Civil Engineering Partner, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP; Thomas Leslie, Pickard Chilton Professor in Architecture and Director of Graduate Education, Department of Architecture, Iowa State University; Stella Nair, Associate Professor, Department of Art History and the Inderdepartmental Program in Archaeology, Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at UCLA; James Campbell, Fellow and Director of Studies in Architecture and History of Art at Queens’ College, Senior Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, and Chairman of the Construction History Society; and Santiago Huerta, Professor, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
