SEATTLE – CTBUH Seattle's Young Professionals Committee (YPC) organized a tour of Tower 12 on March 23, 2017. Tower 12, named after the Seattle Seahawks "12th Man," is a 35-story, 386-foot (118-meter) residential tower at 2nd Avenue and Virginia Street in downtown Seattle. The tour began with a safety briefing and a general building Q&A session. The project broke ground in early 2015 and is planned to open April 2017.

|The 491,000-square-foot (49,600 square meter) structure is supported by post-tensioned floor slabs and a ductile concrete core combining shear walls and moment frames. By using high-strength concrete in the columns and outrigger beams from the core, internal columns were eliminated. High strength reinforcing steel was used in the foundation mat, moment frames, and shear wall boundary elements, which reduces congestion and improves constructability.|
The tour began in the above-grade parking garage and progressed through several typical floors. Participants were able to see completed apartment units of varying sizes. Near the top of the building, large windows framed the expansive views of Seattle’s Skyline, Mt. Rainier, and the Puget Sound. The tour ended on the roof deck amenity level with a group photo.
