CTBUH Singapore, in coordination with CTBUH Malaysia and CTBUH Thailand, hosted a multi-city seminar on Tall & Green: Design, Operation, and Regeneration in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Bangkok July 3-5. This was a three-day, three-country event focused on the sustainable design and construction of tall buildings.
The renowned speakers, which included keynote speaker Ivan Harbour, Partner, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, and Sudeesh Kalavenkataraman, Regional Manager and Associate, RWDI Singapore, represented expertise from the areas of design, engineering, and construction of tall buildings.
In Singapore, CTBUH Singapore Representative Michiel de Moel, CEO, Elevating Studio Pte. Ltd gave an introduction and was followed by Harbour, Kalavenkataraman, Dr. Shahzad Nasim, Chairman, Meinhardt Group, and Roy Samuels, Division Managing Director (MEP), Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte. Ltd.
In Kuala Lumpur, CTBUH Malaysia Representative Matthew Gaal, South East Asia Director, Woods Bagot, made opening remarks. Speakers included Harbour, Kalavenkataraman, and Peter Ramstedt, Project Director, Turner International.
In Bangkok, CTBUH Singapore Representative Johannes de Jong, EVP, Elevating Studio Pte. Ltd, gave a brief introduction of the event. Matthew Silvester, Associate Director (M&E), Meinhardt (Thailand) Ltd, spoke along with Harbour and Kalavenkataraman.
