|MIAMI – On April 25, CTBUH Florida held a presentation on Tall Building Damping Technologies at Glasgow Hall, School of Architecture, University of Miami.|
|After being introduced by CTBUH Florida Co-Chair Christophe Bilaine, Executive Vice President – Preconstruction, Bouygues Construction, the presentation began with a welcome from CTBUH Vice Chairman Timothy Johnson, Partner, NBBJ, who talked in general about the Council, as well as his journey working within the organization. He then contextualized the discussion with the host city’s relationship to the construction and tall building industries, describing how Miami has been an epicenter of development over the past few years. Because of this construction boom, particularly for tall buildings in the city, he noted the necessity of having CTBUH representation in Miami, and what the committee's expectations and goals would be.
