Mr. DeBenedittis has directed Tishman Speyer Property’s design and construction activities worldwide since the company's founding in 1978. Amongst the notable projects were the development of the Sony Center in Berlin; Frankfurt’s Messeturm, at the time the tallest building in Europe; and major additions and improvements to the Chrysler Building and Rockefeller Center properties. Prior to that time, Mr. DeBenedittis was Senior Vice President in charge of design and construction at Tishman Realty & Construction Co., Inc., during the construction of the John Hancock Tower in Chicago, the World Trade Center in New York, the Renaissance Center in Detroit, and Tishman’s own portfolio of buildings in New York and other major cities across the United States.
Mr. DeBenedittis is a member of the Board of Trustees of Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, the Advisory Board of HELP USA, he is a Fellow for The American Society of Civil Engineers, and is a member of the Steering Committee and Council of Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat. Mr. DeBenedittis graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1952 after which he served as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers in wartime Korea.
