James SZE graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Civil and Structural Engineering in 1994. He has subsequently obtained part-time Master degrees in Geotechnical Engineering as well as Inter-disciplinary Design and Management from the same Univesity.
He is an Associate Director of Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong office which has more than 1500 engineers in the East Asia Region. He has extensive experience in the investigation, design, instrumentation and construction supervision for deep foundation and basement excavation projects in Hong Kong as well as in other countries such as China, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea and Middle East.
James is a Registered Professional Engineer in Structural, Civil and Geotechnical disciplines as well as a Registered Geotechnical Engineer in Hong Kong. He is also a Chartered Engineer with the Institution of Structural Engineers and Institution of Civil Engineers in the United Kingdom. He is a committee member of the Geotechnical Division of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as well as the chairman of Contractors’ Registration Committee Panel (Site Formation Works).
