Melissa Angulo joined the CTBUH as a research assistant in the summer of 2012. Her focus is the evaluation of the effects of green wall on building energy consumption research project funded by the Wagner Institute for Sustainable Energy (WISER). In addition, she assists with grant writing for other research projects.

Melissa is originally from Venezuela but moved to Texas in 2003. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2009. In her last year, she discovered her passion for sustainable energy and energy efficiency design of buildings and she is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Architectural Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology focusing on building system.
