Nathaniel Hollister graduated with honors in 2009 from the Illinois Institute of Technology receiving his professional Bachelor’s degree in architecture. While completing his professional studies, Nathaniel focused on sustainability and high-rise design and studied under Dr. Werner Sobek of Werner Sobek Engineering & Design. Simultaneously, Nathaniel worked as a design consultant at David Fleener Architects, Inc. Nathaniel was a finalist in the 2009 Schiff Foundation Fellowship, and his work has been displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago.

As the Council’s Production Coordinator, Nathaniel is primarily responsible for contributing to the research, design, and production of various CTBUH publications and outputs. Additionally, Nathaniel manages The Skyscraper Center, the official tall building database of the CTBUH and the recognized source of tall building information internationally.

Nathaniel also co-teaches an advanced architectural high-rise studio at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Nathaniel has influenced a number of the Council’s research papers, including “The Tallest 20 in 2020: Entering the Era of the Megatall,” “Tall & Urban” and the 2010 CTBUH Reference Guide—a book documenting current tall building statistics.
