Prof. Macêdo Filho is the Director of Architecture and Design at Universidade Cidade de São Paulo (UNICID) and has a strong emphasis on sustainable design.  He is also a coordinator of interior design technical courses and the program of post graduation courses including the MBA program on Sustainable Construction.  Antonio is also a Professor of Sustainable Design and Construction and Environmental Comfort for graduation and post graduation courses at UNICID and Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie. 

Prof. Macêdo Filho academic career started in 2000, and has taught at Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, and Universidade Cidade de São Paulo (UNICID).  He has obtained his own education in the fields of Energy Efficiency, Bioclimatic Architecture Technologies, and Architecture and Urbanism from various institutions including (respectively): Universidade de São Paulo, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Universidade Federal da Bahia.

Antonio is the Founder and Director of EcoBuilding.com.br, which is the first Brazilian portal for sustainable design and construction.  Specialties include: energy efficiency on buildings, sustainable design and construction, retrofitting of existing buildings, and environmental certification of green buildings.  Mr. Macêdo Filho is an experienced consultant for sustainable architecture and construction and has worked on projects in the areas of lighting design, environmental comfort and green buildings certification.  He was also the founder of Câmara de Arquitetos e Consultores, which is a private organization that had become a leader in Brazil’s continuing education for architecture, design and construction.
