Melissa Emerson is originally from Minnesota and had obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, College of Design in 2008. Having the experience of studying abroad in Toledo, Spain as part of her undergraduate coursework, she wanted to further her education in a thriving city. She moved to Chicago the summer of 2009 and completed her Masters in Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, College of Architecture in May of 2012.
Melissa joined the CTBUH staff in May of 2010. She has assisted the CTBUH in a large variety of projects including processing publication orders and memberships, as well as updating the CTBUH website. Currently, Melissa coordinates technical papers for the 2012 CTBUH Shanghai Congress Proceedings and assists in the preparation for future CTBUH Conferences.
She is enthusiastic to help the Council in any way possible and is looking forward to what the future holds for this rapidly growing organization.
